January was a very busy month. Just before the new year, I moved to a new part of Los Angeles, and I started two part-time jobs on top of juggling my freelance clients - one as the Photo Editor for Curate LA, and one as a barista at a local coffee shop. It has been a tumultuous few years in California thus far and I owe a lot of that to a disorganized mindset. I don’t necessarily use January 1st as a metric for change but I do like the idea of reflecting on a year lived.
I want to use this “blog” as a visual journal where I can collect my reflections and random shots every month. Perhaps it will force me to stay on top of my work flow but more so I hope it allows me to better dissect how and why I capture what I do. I have abandoned every journal I have ever had, but I want to focus on finishing the projects I start - find resolve in completion. It is something my brain doesn’t like to do. Fuck my chaotically beautiful and brilliant mind.
